Cheri Lee Charlton
As an illustrator, my work is strongly influenced by the illustration and media to which I was exposed as a child. My current work takes inspiration from a combinations of classical styles of commercial etchings seen in popular catalogues of the Victorian era in Central Europe and North America and illustrators such as Arthur Rackham, John Tenniel, and Beatrix Potter from the golden age of illustration.
I have exhibited artwork in New York, Iowa, Ohio, Connecticut, Illinois, West Virginia, and Florida since 2007. I have been designing and executing large-scale public and commercial for both exteriors and interiors murals since 2009 most recently finishing a large indoor mural for Blick Art Materials in Schaumburg, IL this past summer 2017.
