For this mural I tried to capture the essence of the Ridgeville Park District's mission by focusing on creating a bright and colorful image that enhanced the existing space. This mural showcases a thriving garden of regional flowers and plants inhabited by local pollinators such as larger than life bees, butterflies, and birds. Scale, color, and dynamic use of line will allows for these naturalistic elements to be seen and appreciated from both close and far away. The mural also features illustrated children of multiple races playing among the whimsical natural elements reinforcing Ridgeville’s commitment to being a diverse and welcoming community.
